Faction (Lost Type)

Faction is a distinctive display typeface with a custom-drawn outline style that emphasizes positive and negative space contrast. The design emerged from a conceptual constraint: all counters consist exclusively of rectangles exactly 20 units in width, either vertical or horizontal, with no curves or modifications. The resulting letterforms create a powerful visual impact suitable for display applications, with the name referencing political dissent and the contradiction between counter and outer forms.
