Droulers

A serif typeface designed in 2016–2017 for a book spanning the life and work of dancer and choreographer Pierre Droulers. Inspired by typewritten notes and the distortions generated by typewriter technology: letters obstructed by ink, closing counterforms, and similar accidents. Its true strength appears in text setting at small sizes, but at larger scales each letter gains primitive graphic power. Released in October 2017 in regular and italic styles.
