Cast

sans · italic · 2011

Cast is a subtle yet versatile sans-serif family developed by Dominique Kerber, originating from his typeface design studies at ZHdK in Zurich in 2007. The concept deliberately merges optical and formal requirements for small text with those for display and signage use, creating a type family of twelve weights (6 weights + italics) with professional-grade properties. With 481 glyphs per style covering extended Latin languages, Cast excels in editorial design, packaging, wayfinding systems, and corporate branding. Since 2024, it is exclusively available through Serpentype.
